The Connector for Microsoft Dynamics is a tool that is intended for an implementation where Microsoft Dynamics CRM is used to manage business contacts, track leads, enter sales orders, and perform other sales and marking activities, and where Microsoft Dynamics GP is used to perform accounting functions, manage a company’s chart of accounts, and maintain customer, vendor, item, employee, and other records. Certain records are synced both ways, while other records are controlled by either CRM or GP. The connector can be set to update within seconds, so when you make a change in one system it shows almost immediately in the other.
The best part about the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics is that it is free and can be obtained from a registered Microsoft Dynamics ERP Partner, or downloaded from CustomerSource as a registration key is no longer required.
The current Connector for Microsoft Dynamics version provides an integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 (minimum Update Rollup #5) or Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 (Service Pack 4), Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013. The downloadable Connector is specifically designed to integrate Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 or Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 or Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013. The connector can be used for both on-premise and online.
Connector provides a robust, pre-mapped solution that allows customers to get their Dynamics solution configured in the shortest amount of time. Below is a graphic showing the out-of-the-box entity maps for Dynamics GP. Keep in mind that any of these maps can then be customized to further support specific business needs.
