We're hearing a lot of frustration from customers who recently upgraded to Windows 8 and are finding it difficult to do their job in this new, unfamiliar territory.

While we admit there is a learning curve for typical desktop use, once you grow accustom to the newly styled start menu, you'll see it's easier to organize your items and find what you're looking for faster than ever before. You'll also begin to see the rest of the changes to the OS are minimal, yet positive.

With mobility becoming a mainstay in the business world, rave reviews are coming in from those running Windows 8 on newer hybrid tablet/laptops and especially the Surface Pro. (Surface Pro is a great device and a far better tablet than the iPad...but that deserves it's own post, so stay tuned).

Here's what's new in Windows 8 - short list:

  • Built for touch PCs and tablets
  • Apps from the Windows Store
  • Mail, People and other built-in apps
  • Maintain your settings and apps across all your PCs and devices
  • Bing smart search
  • Start screen LIVE UPDATES
  • Faster startup time
