Windows Server 2012 Has Arrived

Following its many previous limited releases, Microsoft Windows Server 2012 is now generally available to all customers around the world for purchase or download. The full release comes almost a year after its initial developer preview was released

New features of Windows Server 2012 include:

Redesigned Server Manager that emphasizes the ease of management on multiple servers.
A new version of Task Manager
Ability to switch between Server Core and the GUI installation options without full reinstallation.
IP address management role for discovering, monitoring, and managing the corporate network address.
A number of changes to Active Directory and the enhancement of the Active Directory Administrative Center.
A new version of Hyper-V that includes network virtualization, multi-tenancy, storage resource pools, cross-premise connectivity, and cloud backup.
A new file system that improves on-disk structure reliability, built-in resilience, and compatibility with existing technologies.
Internet Information Services version 8.0
